UPDATE: FREE Breakfast & Lunch at NW

Greetings Mountie Nation,

We understand that many families have questions about free school meals at Northwest.

There are currently two funding sources supporting school meals.

• Universal meals are funded by the state (currently uncertain).
• Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) meals are funded by the federal government and provide free breakfast and lunch to all students in qualifying districts. At this time to our knowledge, CEP funding remains secure.

Northwest Community Schools qualifies for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which means ALL students at Northwest Community Schools will continue to receive FREE breakfast and lunch at school.

This will remain in effect until further notice.

If there are ever any changes to this status, the district will notify families well in advance so you have time to plan.

Thank you for your partnership and continued support of our schools
