Meet Up & Eat Up: Summer Food Service Program

Northwest Community Schools is proud to sponsor the Summer Food Service Program for children. Free meals will be made available to children 18 years of age and under or persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a state or local public educational agency. The meals will be provided without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be served Monday through Friday (with the exception of Northwest High School serving Monday–Thursday) from June 9, 2025 – August 15, 2025. Please note: All sites will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025.

Meal locations and times are as follows:

  • Northwest High School (4200 Van Horn Rd., Jackson, MI 49201)

    • Breakfast Served: 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM

    • Lunch Served: 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM

  • Northwest Early Elementary (3735 Lansing Ave., Jackson, MI 49202)

    • Breakfast Served: 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM

    • Lunch Served: 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM

  • Northwest Connect (6900 Rives Junction Rd., Jackson, MI 49201)

    • Breakfast Served: 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM

    • Lunch Served: 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM

Additionally, Northwest Connect offers a Weekend To-Go Package. Pick-up is available every Friday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. The package provides Saturday–Sunday breakfast and lunch and is available only at Northwest Connect. For the week of July 4, the package will be distributed on Thursday, July 3.

 

Weekend To-Go Pickup Form

If you plan to pick up a Weekend To-Go Package, we ask that you reserve your meal ahead of time before arriving on Friday between 1 PM-3 PM at Northwest Connect. A new form must be submitted weekly for pickup. You can find the form HERE.
