The 23g Grant, part of Michigan's "MI Kids Back on Track" program, provides money to schools to help students catch up on learning they may have missed through supporting tutoring programs, extra learning time during or after school, summer learning programs, and programs that prepare high school students for college or careers. Northwest was awarded this grant in the fall of 2024 and utilized this funding to support several programs throughout the district. As a result, and in compliance with the grant requirements, we are asking all students, families, and staff that were impacted by these programs to provide valuable feedback by completing the 23g Impact Survey.

NWCS 23g Programs:

  • Extended learning time (summer school programming)

  • Intensive individualized support (Attendance, Behavior, Content Interventions)

  • Locally provided tutoring (before & after school tutoring)

  • Career pathways (college tours & the Find Your Future Fair)

  • Work based learning (10th Grade Job Shadow Experience)
