• Parent and Community Participation

In August, our new Kindergarten students are always welcomed back to school with the annual Teddy Bear Picnic.  The school year begins with our Open House to welcome all of our students to school. During the school year, parent events include a Kick-Off for a Successful Year of Learning, Happy Holiday Reading, special evening assemblies, parenting seminars and family fun nights. The PTO is very active and involved in supporting student activities with fundraising. More than 200 volunteers contributed thousands of hours helping our students and staff.  Thank You!

    Parent and Community Engagement

Parents and our community are an integral core to our program’s success. We work to help all feel welcome and encourage participation and communication in a variety of ways:
    ·         Use of the technology parent portal to view student information and to communicate with teachers
    ·         Implement and follow-through with the parent contracts
    ·         Have many volunteers that work in classrooms, mentor (Kids Hope USA and Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and
help out in many other ways

    ·         Provide many parent/family night activities
    ·         Communicate through our building and classroom websites and newsletters

At Parnall Elementary School, we strive to provide a student-centered environment that is safe, accepting, and encouraging while promoting learning, feelings of self-worth and a successful future as responsible citizens and life-long learners.
