The Northwest Elementary School came into existence in 1983 and serves over 630 students in grades three through five. The school has seven third, eight fourth and eight fifth regular self-contained grade classrooms. In addition, the school offers five resource teachers that co-teach in general education classrooms, including a countywide emotionally impaired room, a MICI room, an outstanding Title I program, and a large Media Center and a full-size gym. A professional staff of 30 and a large support staff combine to offer a well-rounded upper-elementary program. All teachers are highly qualified according to federal standards.
