New Attendance Expectation for Northwest Community Schools- Effective 11.30.20
Northwest Community Schools Grades 3- 12 will be implementing a new ATTENDANCE EXPECTATION at the start of the Second Trimester, beginning November 30th (information regarding K-2nd grade attendance below). This will continue to help create a sense of routine and structure for our students. As our school year has progressed, it has become increasingly evident that routine and structure fosters student engagement and success. Therefore, we will be implementing a new process for taking daily attendance.
Please see the details below:
Student 6th - 12th Grade students MUST log into a daily Zoom call at the beginning of every class period and Focus/Advisory Time to be marked present, this includes our MVP students when F2F learning resumes. Zoom links will be posted by each teacher in Schoology.
ALL 3rd - 5th Grade students MUST log into a daily Zoom call daily. Exact times will be determined by teachers. This includes our MVP students when F2F resumes. Zoom links will be posted by each teacher in Schoology.
Students will be marked absent if they do not log into the Zoom Meeting. If your student was unable to login for any reason, please email the teacher.
K-2nd Grade
NWEE Mounties will continue to utilize the engaging activities and lessons on the Seesaw learning platform. This allows us to see and hear your student demonstrate their understanding of grade level work individually on a regular basis. Additionally, continue to set a routine learning schedule for your child and actively communicate with your teacher to best support your child’s learning. Working closely with your classroom teacher and maintaining open lines of communication will ensure a positive learning experience in this time of remote learning.
