  • Kindergarten Round-Up- Parent Pre-Registration

Posted by Kelly Grygiel on 4/2/2020

Due to the unique circumstances of our current situation, we are sending out this Kindergarten Round-Up- Parent Pre-Registration to parents.   We will not be holding Kindergarten Round-Up during the previously scheduled dates of April 14th, 15th or 16th.   Instead, we will be compiling parent and child information from this pre-registration form and sending them the necessary information needed to start the enrollment process for their students.   We will be holding in-person round-up dates in the future that are TBD.    Please share this with the community!

  • 8th Grade Washington DC Trip- Cancelled

Posted by Nw Media on 3/27/2020

It is with a heavy heart that the decision has been made to cancel our Washington D.C. trip this year.  We have been working together with our tour organizer at Gerber Tours as well as Mr. Bontrager and Mr. Brooks.  The safety of our students and staff is our main concern and, until the threat of this pandemic has ended, there is no guarantee that we can ensure everyone's health and safety while traveling. At this point Washington D.C. remains closed and Governor Whitmer has issued a “Stay At Home” order until April 13, 2020.

Gerber Tours is working very hard to refund all money you have paid, minus the non-refundable deposit of $125 (per the contract.)  That would mean a refund of $530 per student based on the $655 trip fee. Gerber is currently contacting all the vendors and companies associated with the trip to secure refunds.  As of right now the only company that has not been secured is our bus company, who is in a mandatory closure. Due to the fact that much of the country is in a shut down or work from home situation, refunds will take between 8 and 12 weeks to process.  Your refund will be distributed to you using the method in which you paid for the trip. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all are placed into situations that we never imagined.

If you have further questions please refer to the Gerber home page http://info.gerbertours.com/corona-virus-notice which clarifies all contract and insurance information or contact customer support at 1-800-645-9145.  You may also contact Mrs. Page or Mrs. Arbrouet through Remind.

We hope that you and your families stay safe and healthy as we all deal with the disappointments and uncertainties of this situation.

    Sincerely,

    Julie Page

    Chris Arbrouet

  • Center for Family Health- Northwest

Posted by NW Media on 3/25/2020

The Center for Family Health- Northwest KMS Center will be closed effective 3/25/20.  The below statement is from the Center of Family Health.

We have heard your concerns regarding care at our Northwest School site and want to assure you that we take them seriously.  For our Northwest Health Center patients, we have decided to continue care with Natasha Klavon through telephone and telehealth visits through MyChart.  Also, Denise Provencher will be available at our main site if you would like to schedule with her.

The impact of the coronavirus pandemic has been fast and profound.  As Federal and State recommendations for health care systems and health care workers have changed, we have been forced to make rapid decisions on the care of our patients and our staff.  Sometimes, we don’t always get it right.  We apologize for any stress or concern this has caused for you and want to assure you that we are working to continue to provide the best care possible for you and your family.

  • College and Career Access Center Update- 3/19/20

Posted by NW Media on 3/20/2020

The College and Career Access Center will be closed to the public through Sunday, April 6th, in an effort to assist with limiting the spread of the coronavirus.

They are, however, happy to assist students with your College and Career needs through phone or virtual meetings with one of their team members who are working remotely.  This is a great time, while your student or senior is off, to connect with your college and career advisor on starting your student's future!

Please call or text the College and Career Access Center's  Marketing Specialist, Brian Green at 517-962-8053 or email the Executive Director, Nancy Lewis, nancy@jacksoncac.org, and they will be able to assist in getting you connected to one of their knowledgeable college and career advisors.
