• Greetings Mountie Nation!

Did you know that Information Technology is projected to be one of the fastest growing career opportunities in the United States over the course of the next decade? Northwest Community Schools does, and we’re responding to prepare our students! Did you know that, starting in kindergarten, all of our students are learning to computer code and to build a robot? Students in kindergarten through fifth grade attend a weekly STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) class that focuses on creating, building and coding. In addition, our middle school offers a required Computer Science course that focuses on coding and computer applications. Students also have a required Computer Science course in ninth grade. This year, we added an Advanced Placement Computer Science class for juniors and seniors. It is our job as educators to provide these experiences and educational pipelines so that students will gain experience in these high-demand career fields. Innovation and creativity is the future and, once again, Northwest Community Schools is leading the way!

    We are...Northwest!
